# AnimalTrakker® Software Troubleshooting You'll find general troubleshooting articles for AnimalTrakker® below. ## Recover a List of All EIDs Scanned The EID recovery function is best used in an emergency when the [[AnimalTrakker® System]] has experienced a system crash. You may be able to recover a list of the last few EID tags to be scanned so that you can resume where you left off. We have debugging code in the system that tracks all of the EID tags scanned in one text file per day. Even if all other data is lost, you may be able to recover what animals were worked on that day. **Note: Scan and Print DOES NOT write to this emergency backup file!** 1. Start by attempting a [[Backing Up Your Database on a Tablet|backup of your data]] first. 2. Make sure [[Start Here|AnimalTrakker®]] is not running. Open your active programs to make sure it's fully inactive. If it is running, stop it using **Settings** > **Apps** > **AnimalTrakkerFarmMobile** > **Force Stop**. 3. Open up **Files** on your device. 4. Navigate to the **Documents** folder. There will be several sub-folders listed across the top of the screen. Click on the one labeled **EID-TAGS**. 5. You'll see a list of files that start with dates, i.e. 2022-03-14. Scroll down until you find the one you need. The most recent is usually at the bottom. ## Resetting Settings in AnimalTrakker® If you're having problems with devices attached to the wrong service, like the printer as the scale or the EID tag reader as the BaaCode reader, go into the AnimalTrakker® settings menu and select **Reset Settings**. Check the box, then shut AnimalTrakker® down completely. Restart AnimalTrakker® and reselect the proper Bluetooth devices for each service. This process will often fix odd connection issues.
