# Saving Your AnimalTrakker® Database on Google Drive
Google Drive is a free cloud-based storage service. Whether you use the service alongside [[Start Here|AnimalTrakker®]] is completely up to you, but it does offer a fast and convenient way to [[Backing Up Your Database on a Tablet|back up your database]]. AnimalTrakker® functions the same with or without the use of Google Drive or any other cloud service. Using it will not change your livestock tracking experience.
To save your [[AnimalTrakker® Database Overview|database]] backups to your Google Drive, first make sure you're signed in to Google Drive on your device.
1. Navigate to your device's **Files**. By default, AnimalTrakker® will attempt to save backups to this location: **Internal Storage** > **Documents** > **AnimalTrakker** > **Databases** > **(database file name)** > **Backups**.
2. Click on the database file within the Backups folder that you'd like to back up. From the drop-down list, choose **Add File to Google Drive**. Your database is now backed up to your connected Google Drive.
